INTEGRATIONS

Braintree

How to connect Braintree to NoChurn: what to paste, what NoChurn does in Braintree and what it reads.

Connect

In NoChurn, test mode first, open Integrations, pick Braintree and paste the fields below (or send them to POST /v1/billing_connections with provider: "braintree"). Use the provider’s test or sandbox credentials in test mode. Secrets are stored encrypted and never returned by the API.

FieldWhere to find it
merchant_idSettings › Business (sandbox account in Test mode)
public_keySettings › API › API keys
private_keySECRETSettings › API › API keys (View)

The connection returns a webhook_url. Point Braintree’s webhook to it: Braintree signs its webhooks with the keys connected here, so there is no webhook secret to paste.

What NoChurn does

RetriesBraintree retries the payment (its own retry settings). NoChurn sends the recovery emails.
Card updateNo card update link from NoChurn for this provider.
Cancel flow offersApplied in Braintree: discount. An offer the provider cannot apply reaches your backend as a billing.*_requested webhook.
CancellationA cancellation requested in the cancel flow is carried out in Braintree.
DisputesNoChurn gathers the evidence and drafts the reply; a person reviews it before it is sent to the provider.
EventsNoChurn follows Braintree’s webhooks.
ImportThe last 12 months are imported when you connect (POST /v1/billing_connections/{id}/backfill imports again).

Fixed by Braintree, not by a setting: card update. The rest can be changed per connection with PATCH /v1/billing_connections/{id}.
