NoChurn for B2B SaaS

Company cards expire, finance teams change, and one admin can cancel for the whole team.

  • Emails to the billing contact and the admin
  • Seats and activation as signals
  • Retries timed to the company’s working hours

AT CANCEL TIME

Ask why. Offer the right thing. Let them go in one click.

A hosted modal styled like your product, or your own screens on the API. The offer follows the reason, and “Cancel now” stays on every step.

Cancel flows

B2B SaaS churn rarely looks like one person changing their mind. A corporate card expires and nobody updates it. The person who signed up leaves the company. A team shrinks and the admin decides it is simpler to cancel than to remove seats. Each of these has a different fix, and NoChurn treats them separately.

Where B2B SaaS loses customers

Involuntary churn

  • Company cards that expire or get replaced. Cards are often issued to one employee. When that person leaves or the card is reissued, payments start failing, and the reminder emails go to someone who no longer reads them.
  • Billing contacts who are not users. The finance contact pays the invoice but does not use the product. They have no reason to act quickly on a failed payment.
  • Approval delays. Updating a payment method can require a manager or a purchasing step. A single reminder is not enough time.

Voluntary churn

  • Seat contraction that turns into a full cancel. A team gets smaller and the admin cancels instead of adjusting the plan.
  • Champion loss. The person who chose the tool moves on and the team drifts away from it.
  • Low activation. Accounts that never finished setup are the easiest to cancel at renewal time.
  • Budget reviews. Tools get cut in bulk when finance looks at spend.

How NoChurn handles it

Failed payments

NoChurn retries failed payments at times that match the customer’s local time and likely paydays, or you can keep Stripe Smart Retries. Recovery emails are written by AI for each customer, sent by default on day 0, 3, 7 and 14, and reviewed before they go out. They can go to the billing contact and the account admin, so the person who can act gets the message. Each email links to a hosted card update page; card data stays with Stripe and NoChurn never sees card numbers. Replies are read and sorted, then answered or passed to your team, which matters when a customer writes back “our purchasing team needs an invoice first.” See failed payments.

Churn score

Every new account gets a score from 0 to 100 at signup, based on payment method, signup source and any custom data you send. NoChurn also flags customers who remove their card before a renewal and starts a save flow before the payment fails, instead of after. See churn score.

Cancel flow with offers that fit teams

The cancel flow asks for a reason, then shows an offer that matches it:

Reason Suitable offer
Team got smaller Downgrade or fewer seats
Too expensive Discount through a Stripe coupon
Not using it right now Pause the subscription
Missing a feature or unsure Book a call with your team

A one-click “cancel now” button is visible on every step, so admins are never trapped. You can use the hosted modal with your colors, fonts and logo, or build the whole flow yourself with the headless API. See cancel flows.

Win-back

Accounts that leave get win-back emails at 30, 60 and 90 days, written from the cancel reason. A team that left because of a missing feature gets a different message from one that left over budget.

Custom data worth sending

B2B accounts carry a lot of signal. Good attributes to start with:

  • seats and company_size: do small teams or single-seat accounts leave more?
  • activated_at: do accounts that never finished setup cancel at the first renewal?
  • last_active_at: how long does an account go quiet before it cancels?
  • key_feature_usage: which feature keeps teams, and which one nobody uses?
  • signup_source: do some channels bring accounts that churn more?
  • plan and billing_interval: do monthly plans leave more than annual ones?
  • support_tickets and nps: do unhappy accounts warn you first?
  • industry and country

NoChurn computes which attributes go with churn (relative risk, sample size, confidence), and AI explains the results and suggests actions. This shows correlation, not cause: use it to decide who gets which offer, not as proof of why people leave. See custom data.

Setup

Connect Stripe in one click with Stripe Connect. NoChurn reads subscriptions and invoices and can run retries. If you bill outside Stripe, keep your billing and send subscriptions, payments and cancellations through the REST API instead. Chargebee, Recurly, Paddle, Braintree, Mollie and other billing platforms connect directly too. Start with the quickstart.

How NoChurn helps

NoChurn gives B2B SaaS teams payment recovery that reaches the right contact, a cancel flow that offers fewer seats before a full cancel, and a view of which account attributes go with churn. Every feature is on every plan, and the price depends only on your MRR, never on a share of recovered revenue. See pricing, or read about AI and usage-based tools and developer tools.
